Flexible Badge Application Instructions

 

Our flexible badges are made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (“TPU”).  TPU is a type of durable plastic that is flexible yet holds 3D shapes very well.

 

Use a heat press that provides BOTTOM heat only.

 

Step 1: Pre-heat the heat press to between 300 - 320॰F.  Place the garment on the heating plate for 5 seconds to pre-heat it.

 

Step 2: Place a small white EVA or Silicone ironing pad on the lower platform of the heat press.  We recommend 3mm thickness.  This is to protect the flexible badge.

 

Step 3: Remove the white backing from the flexible badge.  At this stage, keep the sticky protective plastic on the front of the badge.  

 

Step 4.  Align your badge in the desired position on the garment.  Press gently but firmly on the sticky plastic to adhere it in the desired position during heat application.

 

Step 5.  Turn the garment upside-down so the badge rests on the EVA sponge mat.

 

Step 6.  Apply between 30-35 psi of pressure (medium if using an automatic heat press) for 15-20 seconds.

 

Step 7: Remove the protective plastic.
